A brief description of the diversity and equity committee, office and/or officer, including purview and activities:
Student Affairs Diversity Strategic Planning Committee was formed and charged with developing a diversity plan for the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The plan is meant to foster intentional, deliberate, and proactive celebration of difference as well as create a truly social just and inclusive community. Consultation of a variety of stakeholders, including students, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, and Student Affairs (SA) Directors & staff, led to the creation of a vision for diversity and eight strategic goals to guide the Division of Student Affairs towards the vision.
