A brief description of the LCCA policy(ies) and practice(s):
UNH has a vehicle life cycle cost evaluator, updated annually at the start of each vehicle model year with new vehicle stats and types based on a collaborative review. The UNH fleet procurement team (which includes UNH Facilities and USNH Purchasing and Contract Services) is encouraged to use the tool and to encourage other UNH buyers to use it in their vehicle considerations as well: http://www.unh.edu/facilities/ecocat-calculator. UNH uses life cycle cost analysis on our energy efficiency projects as well as when a new construction project includes energy modeling, which is the case for most large capital construction projects.
