Healthy UNH is a campus-wide initiative at the University of New Hampshire that encourages faculty, staff, and students to improve their health while simultaneously decreasing health care costs. Its goal is to make UNH the healthiest campus community in the country by 2020. Healthy UNH has identified major health issues that need to be addressed, including rising rates of chronic disease; the need for better information about resources to promote health; evidence of increasing rates of stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues; and spiraling health care costs.
