Does the institution have a student-run enterprise, such as a cafe, through which students gain sustainable business skills?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the enterprise:
As part of UNCG's Sustainable Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community (LLC), students have created a retail store that sells locally sourced goods. This LLC immerses students in a creative and collaborative “think-tank” environment that develops transferable entrepreneurship knowledge and skills for business success in a dynamic global economy where sustainability matters. Through the student-run retail store, students will gain firsthand experience working in a venture focused around sustainability. Students will not only learn the day-to-day tasks working in an entrepreneurial retail venture, but will understand and provide input for the long-term strategies of the business. Through student projects and recommendations, the processes and practices in the retail store will be continuously improved, with sustainability innovation being the ultimate goal. Students will learn what is being done in the retail store and apply the sustainable practices learned in the classroom to make improvements. These improvements will be focused around growing profitability, reducing environmental impact, and positive social impact.
