A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
SOAR (new student orientation for freshmen and transfers): -The Office of Sustainability has tables at the Spartan EXPO for both Freshman and Transfer SOAR where the office had a chance to promote to 4,200 students. This was during June and August SOAR sessions. Rawkin' Welcome Week -First-year students were invited to attend the "Let's Get Sustainable" .Those students rode a bus to the Farmer's Market and were given information sheets that went over sustainable practices on campus. The Farmer's Market staff also taught students about the market, sustainability, and food justice.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
All incoming freshmen and transfer students are invited to attend SOAR. 100% of undergrads are provided an opportunity to participate in orientation. The program is required for all students. Roughly 95% of freshmen attend, and 70% of transfers attend (transfer students are able to do class advising/registration outside of SOAR). Sustainability Staff are not aware of sustainability being included in graduate student orientation. Thus, 80% of all incoming students are estimated to have the opportunity. S.Eller
