Strong College is a two-year Residential College program in which students take General Education courses, participate in co-curricular activities, and live in the same residence hall together.
Strong Residential College’s curricular focus is sustainability and hands-on research. In Strong College Core courses, students engage with the broader questions, challenges, and possibilities of sustainability that focus on environmental, social, cultural, ethical, political, and economic systems in courses from a variety of disciplines. Goals for the Core courses include understanding the concepts of sustainability in civic and academic life and learning to engage with the world for the purpose of realizing the impact of one's habits and actions on the sustainability of all of the institutions and systems around us.
Strong Residential College’s curricular focus is sustainability and hands-on research.
