A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
The Office of Sustainability allocates $10,000 per year to provide supplemental funding to students, faculty, and staff in pursuit of sustainability projects or research that will further the mission of sustainability at UNCW. Projects can be in any discipline, as long as they promote the pillars of sustainability: economic vitality, social equity, and environmental stewardship. There is no set award amount. Historically, awards have ranged from $200 to $5,000. The award cycle begins in the Fall semester for projects occurring the following Spring and/or Summer.

Outside of the UNCW Library's extensive catalog all students and faculty have access to many research databases, such as Science Direct and Web of Science, free of charge. Randall Library also has dedicated librarians specializing in various environmental, social, and economic fields to help guide researchers during their journey.
