A brief description of the technology used:
LED’s are currently deployed in approximately 10% of campus outdoor lighting fixtures and have been established as the standard moving forward for new applications. They are also being used in applications indoors where there is an energy efficiency opportunity and where the lighting capabilities are appropriate. This has included projects in conference rooms, offices and lobbies. The University has been a member of the LED University initiative for approximately 2 years.
