Members of the Office of Sustainability presented several programs at the 2010 AASHE Conference in Denver and plan to present again this year in Pittsburgh.
Rachel Novick, Education and Outreach Program Manager in our Office of Sustainability, is a member of the Higher Education Steering Committee of the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change. Over the course of 6 months (December 2010-June 2011), the committee crafted a toolkit for sustainability mission integration. The purpose of the toolkit is to assist Catholic colleges and universities in integrating sustainability into the faith-based mission of their institutions. It will be distributed to University presidents and other campus leaders by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities in Fall 2011.

In October 2009 the University of Notre Dame hosted a national conference Renewing the Campus: Sustainability and the Catholic University.
Renewing the Campus was the first conference dedicated to enhancing understanding, activism, and cooperation among Catholic universities in the area of sustainability. Over 200 faculty, administrators, and students from 45 universities across the country participated.
