GreeND is a student organization that coordinates energy and environmental efforts at Notre Dame. The GreeND leadership team strives to inspire and implement visionary “green” initiatives. GreeND collaborates with administrators, faculty, staff, and students to affect meaningful change at Notre Dame and beyond.

1. "Earth Rocks" Concert on the Quad Tuesday, April 22nd 2014 6:00 - 8:00 pm Location: South Quad (Rain location: LaFun Ball Room) Next Tuesday, April 22nd, we celebrate Earth Day! For this occasion, GreeND, the Progressive Student Alliance, and the Student Union Board (SUB) are presenting Earth Rocks, a concert on the quad. Students are encouraged to bring their beach towels, sit, relax, and listen to musical performances by student bands on South Quad in front of SDH. Strawberries and locally grown apples will be provided for everyone. 2. Invasive Species Outing to St. Pat's Park GreeND will be joining South Bend community members for an Invasive Species Work Day and Seminar this Saturday March 29th 2014 from 9am to noon at St. Patrick's County Park, just 10 minutes north of campus. 3. Farmer's Market The Farmer's Market is coming to ND March 28th 2014 in Geddes Hall from 3:30-5:30pm! Vendors will be selling fresh produce, bakery items, teas, & homemade goods! Vendors include: Ali Oesch Jewelry Bakers Dozen Bakeshop Breadsmith Parcell Pantry DeLo's Cafe Irish Gardens Disterheft Farms Whole Foods - Mishawaka Coffee and Tea Thyme, Inc. 4. Waste Free Wednesdays One month per semester, Notre Dame Food Services, GreeND, and the Office of Sustainability team up to run Waste-Free Wednesdays. This event, which runs the last 4 Wednesdays during the month of April, encourages students to take only what they need from the dining halls and to avoid wasting food. The Waste-Free Wednesdays Program is intended to actively reduce this waste and raise awareness. When students return a waste-free tray to the tray return during the event, they are entered into a raffle to win $100 in FlexPoints.
