A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
All new UO buildings use the State of Oregon sustainability standard based on LEED 2.0 which we call Department of Administrative Services LEED, or DAS-LEED. Here is the link to this polcicy: http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/FAC/docs/1256010.pdf?ga=t
All new construction in the last three years was built in complience with the Oregon Sustainable Facilities Standards and Guidelines established in 2004.
The space inventory used for STARS is updated through the end of fiscal year 2010. This credit includes buildings completed from fiscal years 2008-2010.
Buildings covered under this standard include the Lorry Lokey Laboratories , the HEDCO Education Building, Peterson Hall, the James F. Miller Theatre Complex, and the Marabel B. FrohnMayer Music Building,
More information about the state guidelines and new construction is found here: http://pages.uoregon.edu/uplan/subjects/Sustainability/SustDDprojects/Sustainable_Design.htm
The LEED Gold building space is from the White Stag Block, which is leased by UO Portland, starting in 2008.
