A brief description of the post-consumer food waste composting program:
Post consumer food waste, compostable paper and food ware labeled "compostable" can be composted at public sites in all of the EMU food service locations and in selected Housing Food Service areas. This includes compostable coffee cups that are specifically labeled.
In addition, UO housing food services uses compostable service ware such as coffee cups, drink cups, plates, napkins, etc, that are collected and turned into compost at a commercial composting site.
