A brief description of the reusable mug program:
All uOttawa food services outlet offer discounted prices for those using a reusable mug. In an effort to encourage students and staff to use their own mugs, the University of Ottawa has embossed stainless steel travel mugs that are available at the campus bookstore. This discount is offered to client using 16 oz. mugs across campus and has been in place for about 3 years.

There is a Student-run program called "People's Republic of Delicious" which offers free vegetarian food every week to person's that bring their own reusable dishware.
