Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-in waste?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
When students move into residence, the PRS recycling coordinator, with the help of staff and volunteers places cardboard and recycling bins around residences to collect recycling and donations. The volunteers then help to sort through what has been collected and the items will be donated to the Free Store which encourages students to not purchase items they could find at the Free Store at no cost.
We have also started to collect Styrofoam for recycling through the University’s Styrofoam recycling program.
