A brief description of the sustainability office:
The university of Ottawa’s sustainability office looks at sustainability related issues and figures out how things can be improved, makes recommendations to the university on mainly physical issues in hopes of strategic advancement. The campus Sustainability Office was created in 2006 to coordinate, promote and implement the University’s sustainable development activities. The Office hopes to develop positive solutions for today’s economic, social and environmental challenges. It The Office’s activities are informed through its daily interactions with individuals, organizations and departments across the campus and guided by the policies and practices approved by the University’s Sustainable Development Committee (SUDCOM)
