A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
The University has been building a more diverse staff for the past decade. Staff diversity on campus has risen from 81% to 88% in the last decade with a focus on women, aboriginal peoples, visual minorities, and disabled peoples.
In the past 2 years the University has been recognized as one of Canada’s top diversity employers, with a focus on hiring immigrants and creating cultural competency seminars.
