A brief description of the institution’s other community partnerships to advance sustainability:
The University of Ottawa has created an Arts and Faculty of Social Sciences Ventures Program through which students undertake projects that respond to challenges faced by community partners. Community partners are often local organizations such as Shepherd's for Good Hope,

The Telfer School of Management's Centre for Business Analytics and Performance (CBAP), in collaboration with Vectors Group, have created the NML to provide non-profit organizations the opportunity to attend professional development workshops, and/or engage in research to investigate and develop best practices in performance management. Non profit-organization partners include Shepherds of Good Hope, CanFund, Heartwood House, REACH Canada

Safe Wings Ottawa, a program of the Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club to reduce bird mortality from collisions with glass through research, prevention and rescue, has been documenting bird collisions at the University of Ottawa since 2014. Throughout the winter, spring and into the summer, student volunteers at the University worked on a project to research and implement bird friendly windows on campus. The finished product in June 2021 is a mural painted on the glass of a walkway between two buildings on campus that was a high-collision area for birds.

Tri Outaouais: The organisation currently collects our textile waste and other items that we are not able to donate to charities and non-profits. They then sort out usable items to donate and the unusable items that get recycled through large scale programs.
