A brief description of the textbook exchange program, textbook lending library, or alternate textbook project:
There are a few options available to students in order to obtain more affordable textbooks.

Rentable textbooks - The University Bookstore has on option to rent textbooks rather than outright purchase a textbook at a reduced cost.

Reused textbooks - The University bookstore and student bookstores offer used books at a reduced cost.

Course packs - The University of Ottawa Print shop works with Faculty members to sell course packs (selected readings from various sources) which are a less costly than buying separate manuals and books.

Free Store - The Free Store operates a series of book carts on campus that offers free books to the campus community. Free books re also available in the main Free Store.
