The University of Ottawa's Bike Coop lends and share bicycles with the community. As well, the University has authorized the use of private electronic scooters on campus as part of a municipal pilot project.

The University of Ottawa offers parking spaces on campus to ComuAuto, a local car sharing program.

Electric vehicles have preferential parking spaces on campus (located near entrances and in parking garages) at no extra charge. Electric vehicles are not charged for the electricity they use.

The University has installed five Level2 charging stations and we are currently installing an additional twenty.

The University of Ottawa has several sustainable transportation initiatives in place. To encourage commuting through cycling, the University maintains "end-facilities" such as bike racks, secure-parking, showers, and bicycle repair stations. There is also a bike-coop.
To encourage fewer single occupancy vehicles, the University has a Upass program for students, and hosts a carpooling program that offers additional preferential parking and access to an emergency ride program.
