A brief description of the incentive program(s):
To help ensure all students are able to obtain research experience, the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) supports faculty interested in developing and assessing research-intensive courses.
In line with the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the University, the Office of Undergraduate Research has now partnered with the Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness and Social Action (CASA), the Changemaker Hub (Hub) and the Center for Inclusion and Diversity (CID) to support Community Based Research (CBR) projects.
Both grants support faculty, administration and staff that are interested in incorporating research and undergraduates into their community relationships. In addition to the Curricular Community Based Research Development Grant, the OUR continues to work with faculty and departments to incorporate research into the curricula.

A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:
Faculty can get either re-assigned time or a stipend to design new courses. Faculty working on Advanced Integration also receive a stipend to encourage more courses that could include one or more aspects of sustainability.
