A brief description of the policy:
The university does not have policy prohibiting idling in general, however does prohibit idling in designted areas.
The University Traffic and Parking Bylaws in 6.6.1.2 states
"No Operator of a Motor Vehicle shall leave the engine running while loading or unloading goods at any loading dock or any location prohibited by a sign."
Signs are currently posted at loading docks and in areas where pick-ups and drop-offs are common.
