A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
Based on our university's definition of sustainability, we identifed sustainability course and courses that include sustainability through searches of the Open Courseware program, through which information about the course offerings is publicly available and searchable. A set of search terms were used to filter out likely courses from this database. The search terms were:
