A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
We ensure that work/research is conducted within the applicable environmental regulations. Also, we have anti-idling/idle free zones across campus and at loading dock areas. We have proper maintenance to ensure fleet vehicles operate at maximum efficiency and purchasing the most efficient vehicles possible for fleet renewal.

Data is collected throughout the year for natural gas and diesel consumption. Applicable emissions are reported through the National Pollutant Release Inventory managed by Environment Canada.
