A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
The Safety Orientation for Employees is mandatory for all new employees. In addition to generic health and safety information and safety processes on campus, the course provides an overview of sustainability, sustainability initiatives and contacts on campus. The New Employee Orientation provided by the university's Human Resources Division provides written information on sustainability contacts to new employees including directions to the Office of Sustainability's website to learn more. As Human Resources settles into a new organizational structure on campus, the Office of Sustainability is working to increase the direct training that new employees receive in sustainability.
