A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
As a follow-up to a previous Transportation Demand Management Plan, the university conducted a transportation survey among staff, students and faculty in October 2019 through an online survey available to all campus users. The modal split accounted for cycling, transit (including park and ride), walking, carpooling or van-pooling, motorcycling, and driving in a single occupancy vehicle. Students and staff & faculty were evaluated separately.
