Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
An external provider, with solid expertise and research, is engaged to administer the survey, in part to ensure the integrity of our employee engagement survey. A series of questions grouped by various ‘dimensions’ or themes, is administered, with quantitative and qualitative response data provided back anonymously to the institutional, college/unit, and department/team levels (providing a minimum number of responses is available, to protect anonymity). There is also the ability to compare response metrics to our provider’s normative databases (e.g. North America, Public Sector), as well as to review our responses based on various categories. The survey was made available to all employees through direct email.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
Responses are analyzed at different levels and reviewed with leaders across campus. Leaders are supported and encouraged to leverage the information our Employee Engagement Survey provides to inform decision-making regarding appropriate programs, policies, and strategies that support employees, as well as the institution in reaching our goals and aspirations. Examples of activity informed by our 2017 survey, include targeted training to better support a specific group of employees within a college, use of data to inform a new performance management framework for staff, use of data to inform tailored leadership development initiatives for faculty and staff.
