A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
The first year that the total number of vehicles in the owned and leased fleet was determined was 2020. At the time of STARS submission, USC has not completed an inventory of its vehicle fleet that classifies vehicles using the same categories outlined in this credit. For example, the full number of fleet vehicles that are gasoline-only versus diesel-only is currently unknown.

For this credit, USC defaulted to classifying vehicles as gasoline-only vehicles where classification was unknown. Therefore, this submission is a conservative estimate of the number of fleet vehicles that are diesel-only or 100% electric.
