A brief description of each sustainability office:
The USC Office of Sustainability (OoS) is located in the Department of Environmental Health and Saftey. It is responsible for the integration of sustainability initiatives into areas such as energy conservation and greenhouse gas mitigation, transportation, procurement, waste diversion, and engagement, as well as tracking and reporting sustainability metrics. OoS works with colleagues from across the university to identify challenges and opportunities to help advance sustainability and change behaviors to meet USC's sustainability goals More information: https://green.usc.edu/
In addition to the Office of Sustainability, sustainability work is done by many colleagues across the university: Facilities Planning Management, Auxiliary Services (Residential Housing and Dining, USC Hotel, Transportation), Athletics, Academic Senate Sustainability Committee, The Wrigley Institute, Dornsife Public Exchange, Cultural Relations and University Events, the Environmental Student Assembly, and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Government support USC's sustainability goals.

The Office of Sustainability coordinates sustainability through monthly SSC meetings, bi-annual sustainability forums, and implementation of the 2020 Sustainability Plan including the following accomplishments:
1. Reduced greenhouse gas emissions per square foot by 35% from 2014 levels
2. Reduced single-occupancy vehicles traveling to/from USC’s campuses to an average 2.0 riders per vehicle; expanded participation in alternative transportation programs
3. Expanded compost and recycling programs; achieved 37% waste diversion rate
4. Implemented resource use behavior change engagement campaigns for students, faculty, and staff; increased awareness of sustainability practices
5. Purchased 40+ percent of food from sustainable sources
