The University of Tasmania's Emissions Reductin Strategic Plan 2022-2030 has various strategic actions in relation to vehicle electrification:
- Replace 100% passenger vehicle fleet with electric, including required charging infrastructure by late 2023
- Replace 80% of commercial vehicle fleet vehicles (i.e., utes and field work vehicles) with low or zero emissions by 2030
- Contract for short-term hire vehicles to be hybrid or electric by 2030

From OpenFleet (owned vehicles), fuel cards reports (long-termhire vehicles) and provided report (short-term vehicles).
There is not a specific pool of vehicles dedicated to UTAS hire by provider, but a list of vehicles used in 2021 was provided.
Trailers and vehicles used for research and educational purposes (boats) excluded. All other vehicles (including tractors, forklifts, etc.) included following STARS guidelines.
