Student volunteers are required to attend 1 of 2 training sessions at the beginning of each academic year. The training sessions consist of a Hall Vols overview, including the program's purpose and the expectations of and the incentives for each volunteer; an overview of campus energy and water conservation strategies and how they can be better implemented in the residence halls; and a presentation on the campus recycling efforts, including what can and cannot be recycled on campus.
