A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:
The exact percentage of food expenditures that meet the criteria for this credit is unknown. However, UT Volunteer Dining offers organic food items at convenience stores located on campus. Fair-trade coffee is available in all coffee-serving locations on campus. Milk served in dining halls comes from a local dairy whose suppliers pledge that their milk is hormone-free.
