Vendors who enter into contracts to supply goods or services to The University of Tennessee must agree to the following nondiscrimination clause: In executing the contract, the vendor shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant because of race, religion, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. The contractor shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed and that employees are treated without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. This action will include, but not be limited to: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other compensation; and selection for training including apprenticeship.
