A brief description of how the employee educators are selected (1st program):
The Friends of Switchie Campaign is a voluntary program that allows department leads to minimize wasteful energy practices. These volunteers are responsible for their coworkers energy consumption and thus educate fellow coworkers on energy saving tips. These tips and the outline to achieve the next ranking are emailed to the Friend of Switchie from the Office of Sustainability.

Participating employees are sent an explanation of the different levels of office participation, outlining what employees must do to reach each ranking. Additionally, participants are sent monthly energy saving tips to post in their offices.
