A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The Green Revolving Fund was established in the fall of 2013, via the Student Environmental Initiatives Facilities Fee Committee, which is the governing body for the “Green Fee” on campus. The fund initially was established with a $50,000 starting fund, working on energy retrofits and efficiency projects with the cost savings of the project rolling back into the Green Revolving Fund for 5 years once project has been implemented. The high success from the initial funding was encouraging to the higher administration and in the fall of 2014, the SEIC voted in another round of funding, allocating another $100,000 to the Green Revolving Fund. To date over 10 projects have been performed and now a campus wide plan for energy retrofits and efficiency is being developed to implement additional funds (as of spring 2015).
