Training dates and times are available through the UT Dallas Galaxy Learning & Education Organizer Tool. UT Dallas staff has the option to attend training and professional development opportunities geared towards sustainability developmental goals.

Course Name: Green Office Strategies
Course Code: SUSGOS
Description: Join us for this training introducing the UT Dallas Office of Sustainability and their programs on campus. Participants will learn about UT Dallas recycling, green buildings, and campus habitats. The training will review strategies for becoming a successful Certified Green Office and counts for the fall 2020 Sustainability Ambassador training requirement.

Course Name: SAFE ZONE Ally Training (Galerstein Gender Center)
Description: You can become a SAFE ZONE Ally by attending Ally Training. Ally Training provides a venue for LGBTQ+ people, Allies, and participants to express concerns, ask questions, and learn about issues affecting the LGBTQ+ campus and surrounding community. After completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate, SAFE ZONE logo, resources, and will be equipped with the tools necessary to: Respond appropriately, know resources and/or where to find them, show support and safeguard the rights of LGBTQ+ people, examine your own attitudes, behaviors, and values, and to challenge others to do the same, and appreciate and value the contributions of LGBTQ+ people.

Course Name: Mining Accessible Content (OIT)
Description: Join Office of Information Technology and the Office of Accessibility to learn more about the existing technology in Microsoft 365 to build, edit and test content to ensure it is accessible to all users.

A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
UT Dallas participates in training and professional development opportunities geared towards sustainability developmental goals by attending conferences and events. The memberships are either paid by the Office of Sustainability or reimbursed by the institution. Institutional memberships include, but not limited to: APPA, ASHE, TRACS, TAPPA, TCUF, CAPPA. APPA and ASHE offer full access for all staff to participate in training.
