A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
The UT Dallas Community Garden program, managed by the Office of Student Volunteerism, provides Comets with the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of natural gardening and community greening. After serving as "garden helpers," students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are eligible to receive a full of half garden plot (plots are 4ft x 16ft). Garden workdays are held once a month. All gardeners receive free compost, mulch, seeds, and limited fertilizers and organic pest and disease treatments.
