The UFV Office of Sustainability (OoS) is a department focused on bringing a pan-institutional approach of holistic sustainability to UFV. Much of the work includes creating initiatives, increasing awareness and education about environmental, social, and economic sustainability, and coordinating and tracking UFV's institutional-wide sustainability efforts.
Established as its own department in the spring of 2021, the team has been working to navigate sustainability at UFV, finding out what is being done, who to collaborate with, and how to ensure everyone has the ability to learn more about sustainability and drive change.

UFV's Office of Sustainability is the office responsible for coordinating sustainability efforts for the entire institution. This has included:
- spearheading AASHE STARS certification
- developing a Climate Action Plan for UFV
- supporting the integration of sustainability considerations across departments and institutional processes (e.g., integrating sustainability into student and employee orientation)
- engaging with the student body on sustainability topics (e.g., through social media, newsletters, sustainability tips of the month, etc.)
