1st program
Green Team
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Green Team is a volunteer-based program which provides waste diversion education at campus events and supports other waste management programs including Green Move In and Green Move Out. Students are recruited continuously throughout the year and sign up for opportunities that are highlighted at the top of the biweekly Green Team Insider newsletter. Volunteers are trained to not only tell event guests what goes where but to educate them about why and encourage them to make more sustainable choices.

All volunteers are current or recent students. Education is targeted at guests of campus events which include students, staff, faculty, families, visitors and community members.

Sustaining Pacific Team
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Sustaining Pacific has a team of 5-8 paid students who work on outreach programs and projects that benefit university students. This team manages operations of the Food Pantry, Kitchen Co-op and Green Team programs, in addition to creating content for our social media channels and hosting regular engagement events.
