From the moment new students and their families arrive on the Stockton campus they begin learning about Pacific's commitment to sustainability at both a) New Student, Transfer and Family Orientations and through b) Week of Welcome, a week of programing for all Pacific students prior to classes returning.
New Student, Transfer and Family Orientations:

2) 3-bin waste diversion stations are set up at all meals and staffed by Green Team volunteers who educate guests on how to sort their waste properly. Meals and serviceware are primarily compostable and recyclable.
3) All incoming undergraduate students participate in a session highlighting sustainability efforts and resources.
4) Students have the opportunity to attend special tours and drop-in hours focused on campus sustainability and action.
5) Sustainability is present at Transferpalooza and New Grad Community Day.
6) The Academic Catalog is completely online, no paper copies are distributed.
7) Student leader materials have moved online to minimize printing.
Week of Welcome Program:
At the start of the school year, students participate in engaging programing to introduce them to campus, called Week of Welcome (WOW).
1) Sustaining Pacific hosts a School Supply Giveaway which gives new students and opportunity to pick up free school supplies and textbooks donated by other students during the previous years' Green Move Out program.
2) 3-bin waste diversion stations are present at all large WOW events with food to reinforce the important of proper waste separation.
3) The Sustainability Office hosts a table at the Tiger Fair tabling event.
For the McgGeorge School of Law and School of Health Science programs at the Sacramento Campus, Sustainability offers tours during orientation and tables at the resource fairs open to all students.
