The university provides all employees access to online training courses through Bridge and LinkedIn Learning. There are a variety of Sustainability related modules to choose from. For example training on waste sorting at Pacific, using the online surplus tool, systems thinking, LEED GA certification, Sustainability in the workplace and designing for sustainability.
A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
Sustainability staff regularly attend the AASHE conference. Garden staff receive trainings from varying sources. They have been from Ecology Action and Elaine Ingrahm's Soild Food Web course.
All staff are eligible to apply to the Staff Advisory Counsel for funding to support professional development opportunities that relate to sustainability in their professional organization.
