The Community Involvement Program (CIP) is a comprehensive need-based scholarship and retention program for first-generation college students from the Stockton community who focus on leadership development and community service. The program serves the educational needs of CIP scholars by providing access to college along with a wide range of program support. This first gen hub encourages all Pacific students to partner with the Pacific BLOCK (Building Leaders Overcoming Challenges with Knowledge) conference, mentoring and promotion of literacy with local youth.

It was established in 1969 by a group of students, community members, faculty, and staff who wanted to provide educational opportunities to the local community and diversify the University of the Pacific campus. More than 1,000 students have graduated from the program since its inception. https://www.pacific.edu/academics/community-involvement-program

Success TRIO is a US Department of Education grant-funded program serving first-generation, underrepresented students. Services for SUCCESS-TRiO students include: tutoring, direct financial assistance, academic, financial, personal and career counseling. The mission is to provide holistic and effective retention services to eligible students by empowering them in their academic, personal and social development. https://www.pacific.edu/student-life/equity-inclusion/success-trio

All students also have the opportunity to apply for Powell, Regent, President, Provost or Pacific scholarships. The Powell Scholarship comes with a commitment that the student will graduate debt free.

Pacific PROMISE Scholars is the University of the Pacific's program to directly support current and former foster care students, as well as students without a traditional family support system, creating a sense of home and belonging on campus while connecting to on and off-campus resources and mentors. https://www.pacific.edu/academics/educational-equity/pacific-PROMISE-scholars
