The UVa Green Challenge is a year long competition in which students are awarded points for committing to sustainable behavioral changes in seven key areas: food, energy, consumption, trash, water, community engagement and transportation.

To date, over 300 students have tracked their commitments online and below are some of the results from campaign:
226 Participants agreed to use a reusable water bottle
169 signed sustainability pledge
192 participated in a meatless Monday
92 participants committed to wash laundry on cold
125 committed to turn off lights
