The above data is an approximation based on available resources since the entire fleet is not centrally maintained. Risk Management tracks every vehicle insured by the University but doesn't track fuel type. This was cross-referenced against the list of vehicles managed by Facilities Management and Parking and Transportation, which makes up 68% of the entire UVA fleet. The fuel types for these vehicles are known. All other vehicles on the Risk Management list were assumed gasoline only unless verifiably different. The Risk Management vehicle database report and the lists of Parking and Transportations vehicles were up to date as of 12/11/2023. The Facilities Management list was up to date as of 12/13/2023.
