Part 1. Student commute modal split
Yes
Total percentage of students that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:
90.70
A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
Student permit data is used to calculate a close approximation of how many students use a personal vehicle as their primary mode of transportation. As of Dec 2023, 2,286 students had an active parking permit, meaning 90.7% [(# of students - # of active student permits)/number of students] use an alternative mode other than single-occupancy vehicle. This is a conservative estimate considering many students that live on campus and have a permit will still primarily use alternative modes for getting around.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Traditionally, we conduct an employee mode split survey every three years. This was scheduled to be completed in 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic. The most recent survey was conducted in Q4 of 2023, but the results won't be available until Feb 2024. Therefore, the most recent employee commuting data available is from 2017.
