1) This number reflects only participation in UW sponsored service (i.e. service-learning, public service internships, days of service) and does not reflect participation in volunteer work that is initiated by a student and not done through a UW department or entity. I.E. a student who volunteers with EarthCorps on their own. That data is not currently collected by the UW.
2) It is probable that this number reflects an under-reporting of participation in public service
