One
A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We took the list of courses offered during the 2019-2020 school year. We removed individually-directed courses (thesis, independent study, practicum, internship, etc.) and special topics courses, as well as practice-oriented medical, music, art and other courses.
Courses offered multiple times throughout the year were counted as a separate course for each offering, and jointly-listed courses were counted as multiple courses (once for each offered department) due to the difficulties of consistently identifying joint-listed courses.
Courses were then identified as sustainability-related or sustainability-focused. All courses which are listed as satisfying the UW's Diversity credit requirement were counted as sustainability related.
