The UW’s lowest paid regular employees are on the bottom step of our contract classified pay scale, but also receive medical, dental, vision and other benefits, as well as a fully subsidized transit pass. This total compensation equates to 102% of the 2021 living wage. That is for employees at the minimum of the wage scale; employees who are higher on the scale exceed 102% of the 2021 living wage.
