Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources on campus?:
Yes

A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
Campus Master Plan: Waterloo’s 2009 Campus Master Plan has explicit directions to manage vehicle traffic within the interior of the campus and particularly along ring-road, in order to preserve a pedestrian and cyclist-friendly atmosphere. This is approached as a method of space planning, but has substantial benefits for air quality improvements. The Master Plan also includes guidance on the creation of a transportation demand management plan to reduce vehicular traffic to and from the campus, and encourage walking, cycling, and public transportation connections with the local neighbourhoods and light rail. Anti-Idling: There have been efforts over the years to discourage idling among the campus fleet. Signage is posted in some locations across campus.

Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary campus sources or else verified that no such emissions are produced?:
No

Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) ---
Sulfur oxides (SOx) ---
Carbon monoxide (CO) ---
Particulate matter (PM) ---
Ozone (O3) ---
Lead (Pb) ---
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) ---
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) ---
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations ---
