1st program
Green Residence Ambassador program
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
The Green Residence Ambassador program is focused on students living in residence. Student ambassadors are recruited at the beginning of the term and participate in a 3-hour training session on general sustainability, campus sustainability programs and initiatives, and specific Green Residence activities. Throughout the term, ambassadors host weekly booths in residence cafeterias/common areas to engage their peers on campus sustainability programs, fun challenges, and ways to get involved. Examples have included waste reduction sorting challenges, promoting sustainability services such as the Eco-Container and Lug-a-Mug, promoting events such as Waste Week activities and our Zero Waste Challenge, Earth Hour, and other social events like movie nights or discussion sessions.
