In accordance with the Province of Ontario’s Student Access Guarantee, Waterloo ensures that Ontario students in need have access to the resources they need for their tuition, books and mandatory fees that are not covered by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). Waterloo’s calculations for students that are low-income is based on the percentage of incoming students who qualify for and receive any level of provincially funded need-based aid through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). The graduation success metric tracks the graduation from students receiving OSAP aid in 2014 through their graduation in 2020.
